Paintings by David Inshaw

On the occasion of David Inshaws 70th birthday the fine Art society are having an exhibition to celebrate. His work is Heavily inspired by where he lives in Wiltshire. Using this in his work he adds his emotion and particular memories to the paintings.  The Exhibition will consist of forty pictures including paintings from earlier in his career.
The Exhibition is located 148 New Bond Street London W1S 2JT and is from 17th April – 11th May. What I like about his work is the colours and how they bring the painting to life but also make his work have a surreal atmosphere.

This Is a image I took in the morning where I live. I didn't edit the photo which is why I like it as my phone's camera captured the light in a certain way which is interesting.

This is my collection for museum of colour. Arranged on a thin piece of slate I placed each of the objects in certain areas depending on there relations for example colour, texture and tone.

I finished my ceramics mold and used yellow stain and Manganese oxide. The mold came out successful but I think there should have been more oxide used to make the objects stand out more.

This is my Plaster Mold which is comprised of a range of different objects from my museum of colour collection. I wanted the objects to look natural but also emphasize them by not wiping off all the clay so there would be texture and tone.
This is my Finished Sgraffito Bowl. I added oxide into the details of my engraving to bring out the detail which is also why I kept the rest of the bowl bright.I tried to vary the shape of pebbles and type but I think could have changed the way I drew each one
